By accessing or using ExpenseTrackerHQ ("the Service") at expensetrackerhq.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and ExpenseTrackerHQ. We may update these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

ExpenseTrackerHQ is a personal finance management platform that allows users to:

• →Set and monitor spending budgets.

• →Receive automated financial insights and notifications.
• →Export financial data for personal use.

The Service is provided for personal, non-commercial use. It is not intended to replace professional financial, tax, or legal advice.

To use the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

• →Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• →Maintain and promptly update your account information.
• →Keep your password secure and confidential.
• →Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.
• →Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. If you are under 18, you represent that you have parental or guardian consent to use the Service.

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that contain false information, violate these Terms, or have been inactive for an extended period.

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

• →Maintaining your own backups of important financial data.

We do not claim any ownership of your User Content. Upon account deletion, your User Content will be removed from our systems within the timeframes described in our Privacy Policy.

Free Plan: The Free Plan is provided at no charge and includes basic expense tracking features. We reserve the right to modify free plan features with reasonable notice.

Pro Plan: The Pro Plan is available at USD $3 per month. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis.

• →Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• →You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings.
• →Upon cancellation, you retain Pro access until the end of your current billing period.
• →Refunds are issued at our discretion. Contact us within 7 days of a charge for refund consideration.
• →We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

The Service and its original content — including but not limited to software, design, text, graphics, logos, and the ExpenseTrackerHQ name and branding — are and will remain the exclusive property of ExpenseTrackerHQ and its licensors.

These Terms do not transfer any intellectual property rights to you. You may not:

• →Copy, modify, or distribute the Service's code or content without permission.
• →Use our trademarks, logos, or brand elements without prior written consent.
• →Create derivative works based on the Service.

The Service integrates with third-party services including Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Resend (email), and Google OAuth (authentication). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of third-party services. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience only.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• →Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
• →Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
• →Warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of any financial insights or reports.

ExpenseTrackerHQ does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. The financial insights and reports provided are for informational purposes only. Always consult a qualified professional for financial decisions.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, EXPENSETRACKERHQ SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• →Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
• →Loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
• →Damages resulting from unauthorized access to or alteration of your data.
• →Damages resulting from your reliance on financial information provided by the Service.
• →Any matter beyond our reasonable control.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD $10, whichever is greater.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ExpenseTrackerHQ and its affiliates, officers, agents, and employees from any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from:

• →Your use of the Service.
• →Your violation of these Terms.
• →Your violation of any third-party right, including intellectual property or privacy rights.
• →Any User Content you submit or transmit through the Service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at our discretion, with or without notice, for any reason including violation of these Terms.

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it from the Settings page or by contacting us. Upon termination:

• →Your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
• →Your data will be deleted within the timeframes described in our Privacy Policy.
• →Any outstanding fees remain due.

Sections 5, 7, 9, 10, 11, and 13 of these Terms survive termination.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable international commercial law principles, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

For any disputes, we encourage you to first contact us directly at notifications@expensetrackerhq.com so we can attempt to resolve the matter amicably. If resolution cannot be reached through direct communication, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have the right to submit disputes to your local consumer protection authority or use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will:

• →Notify registered users by email at least 14 days before changes take effect.
• →Provide a summary of key changes in the notification email.

Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
